Just back from the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich where Boris was rallying the troops at a fundraiser for our GLA candidate Andy Jennings. As ever he was good entertainment value, but behind the gags about 'Mayor Leaving-soon' was a set of real and positive policies for making London a better place: More police support officers on the buses to get rid of the yobs who terrorise passengers; protection of our green spaces; and getting traffic in these parts moving by reversing the mad decision on the Blackwall tunnel tidal flow (the biggest cheer of the night). As the polls show a real desire for change at City Hall, and with Livingstone increasingly tainted by sleaze and cronyism, it's great to see Boris on fighting form and ready to win.
