Labour's back-seat driver

Apologies for the sporadic posts recently- my phone upgrade temporarily left me blogging to the wrong site and I've only just fixed it. So let's try again. One postscript to Sunday's comments - I had arrived at the ceremony just in time for the march-past, having watched the Mayor's limo sweep past without stopping whilst I waited for a bus. Comrade Roberts, who was sat in the back with the Mayor, clearly smirked as I was left on the pavement. The Mayor is a nice man, as is his driver, and I'm sure they would have stopped to offer a lift had it been up to them. I suspect they had a backseat driver issuing instructions...
