This may look like my first post, but in fact I've discovered it's my second. I had completely forgotten, but as long ago as 2003 I began a blog at this address, charting the ups and downs of life at the GLA, where I then worked for the Conservatives on the London Assembly. It was only when I tried to register this blog in my name that I rediscovered my former life...

I will spare you my previous rambling (which anyway never made it past one post), which seemed to centre on complaining about buses. Instead, I'll begin by saying that I will try to include here some musings on current events and day-to-day trivialities of life in Opposition both at Westminster and in Greenwich, without breaching any confidences, obviously. For really scurrilous gossip, you'll have to try the likes of Iain Dale, Guido Fawkes et al. Let the blogging begin...
